  6. TIK-account: Are you enroled as a doctoral student?

Access to all services for students is only possible if you are a enroled doctoral student. Other doctoral students are not rated as a member of the university of Stuttgart, therefor they are not allowed to use the services for students.

  7. TIK-account: Have you taken yourself off of the university register?

The removal of the register of students is always done at the end of every semester. In the first three month of the new semester you will become informed via e-mail about the blocking and following deletion of your account. After the third e-mail your TIK account will be deactivated and after a short period of time it will be deleted and can not be recovered. This is done on the 30th of June of the summer semester and the 20th of December of the winter semester. Your e-mail account will be deactivated and deleted, too. Please take care of it and backup your files. A recovery of the files is not possible. If you have a qualified reason for an extention of the validity of your account, please contact the helpdesk.

  8. TIK-account: Are you a student form another university?

    Students from other universitys:
    - Unfortunately for legal and technical reasons we are not allowed to provide the student services to members of other universities. However, there may be a option to use the wireless network of the university of stuttgart. In order to use this service, it is required that your home university is a member of the eduroam cooperation. You can find more information concerning this on the webpage of the eduroam project.
